Using Ubuntu Values in Integrating African Indigenous Knowledge into Teaching and Learning: A Review of Literature

چکیده
The South African government has developed and incorporated Indigenous Knowledge (AIK) in the school curriculum however, efforts to integrate AIK teaching learning have not yielded desired results. study, sought investigate how is integrated into using Ubuntu values implications on classroom. Premised theory, study adopted an literature review approach, a comprehensive electronic search was done which led discovery of articles that are relevant study. A total 36 out 54 published between 2010-2021 were selected reviewed. findings from revealed much research been develop strategies assist teachers their lessons. data also showed there lack professional teacher development programs meant equip with necessary pedagogical skills required classrooms. concluded integration at classroom level still adequate. therefore, more continuous teachers' be implemented regular basis while adopting used learning.
